The
following policies apply to all individuals or groups in attendance at
Bethlehem Family Camp. Please
familiarize yourself with these policies prior to your arrival. If you have questions concerning this
information, feel free to contact us. In
keeping with the high ideals of the Christian faith, guests shall abstain
from profanity and the use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs while on the
premises. In matters of dress, we ask
that modesty be observed at all times. Pets
are not allowed in any camp owned buildings.
Owners of private cabins and/or RV’s are welcomed to bring their pets,
but are expected to clean up after them.
When pets are outside they are to be kept on a leash at all
times. This protects all other
campers, especially children. Parking
is allowed in designated areas only.
By order of the local Fire Marshall, all lanes between buildings must
be kept clear. Parking near buildings
is allowed for unloading or loading only.
Parking in handicap spaces requires a decal. Once
registered, campers are asked to keep their automobiles parked. Please walk or use the golf cart shuttles,
when available, to and from all activities. During
group events the camp kitchen staff or those under their supervision will
provide all meals. Groups or
individuals with special dietary restrictions should inform the camp manager
prior to arrival for retreats or extended camps. The kitchen is closed to use by individuals
at other times. Camp
equipment, such as recreational items or tools, must be checked out with
designated camp staff and returned to them after use. When
attending overnight retreats or extended camps, guests should bring their own
bed linens, pillows, towels, laundry soap, insect repellant and items for
personal hygiene. The camp does not
provide daily maid service and/or linen service. Please
leave the buildings/rooms as you found them.
If you must move fixtures or furniture, please return them to their
original place. If you break something
through your own fault, please report it and reimburse the camp for the
replacement cost. Otherwise, it will
be necessary to send you or your group a bill for the repairs after you
leave. If you find anything broken
that was not your fault, please report it to the camp manger so repairs can
promptly be made. Please do not nail,
tack or tape anything to the walls. If
something needs to be cleaned after you use it, please take the initiative to
clean it. Groups
staying overnight should contact the camp manager with the final number of
bed spaces and meals needed, as well as dorm preferences, etc., no later than
ten (10) days in advance of their arrival at camp. (Sooner would be deeply appreciated.) Also, please give us updates (every 2-3
days) if the number of participants grows after the initial 10-day
notice. This lead-time is especially
important so that we can adequately plan the food preparation. If
your group plans to use the pool, you are required to furnish your own
lifeguard. The camp cannot provide
this service. Failure to provide a
Certified Life Guard will mean that the pool will be closed to your use. All
groups must provide close supervision of any children and youth in the group
at all times. Individuals/Groups
using the RV sites are expected to supply proper power, water and sewer
attachments when using the sites. All
water refuse (gray or black) must go into the sewer system provided. Please report any accidental spills to the
manager in order to obtain acceptable cleanup materials/equipment if you do
not already have these items with you. Thank
you for choosing Bethlehem Family Camp for your special outing. We hope you will be comfortable and enjoy
your stay here, but most of all, we pray that you will sense God’s presence
in this place.
