Has your Christian organization, church,
etc. become involved in “HOME MISSIONS?”
If not, then you need to catch some of the excitement of working for
God at a camp where lives are changed each year. Volunteer groups are accepted throughout
the year at BFC, and there is always plenty of work to keep youthful (and
adult) hands busy. For more info on
how you can become part of the growing movement of HOME MISSIONS, contact us. BFC was the temporary home for teens from
the towns of Odenville and Eva, Alabama during the first week of July 2010 as
they volunteered at New Effort Baptist Church to conduct Vacation Bible
School. BFC had the privilege of housing families
of Teen Challenge Students this past weekend.
The local Teen Challenge Camp is about 3 miles from the camp. The Big Bend Emmaus Community will host a
Chrysalis Retreat for teens at the end of July 2010 at BFC. We are looking forward to working with the
volunteers who will make this event possible. Duke Underwood, evangelist and Christian
musician, will be in Holmes County September 16-19, 2010 for a concert and
revival at Red Hill UMC, which is located north of BFC on Hwy 2, about 15
miles north of Bonifay, Florida. Check
this site later this month for updates on this exciting opportunity. |
